The Expedition of Henry Clinker. The last of Smollett's novels published 3 months before his death in June 1771. The epistolary novel is based on letters from 6 characters and uses Smollett's experiences in travelling in France, Scotland and Italy. One of his funniest and most engaging works. 

3 vols. Full original calf, minor rubbing. A very good set in excellent condition, in the rare three-decker format.
