Beatrice Grimshaw (1870 - 1953) was an Irish writer and traveller, who spent most of her time in the Pacific in Papua New Guinea.  She was engaged by the Daily Graphic in London to write on the Pacific Islands, and after travelling through Fiji, Samoa, the Cooks and others, from 1904, she eventually settled in Papua New Guinea in 1907 for 27 years, before retiring to Australia.
