Early Greek testament with 88 pages of preparatory text and commentary in Latin, a folding map of Jerusalem and plan of the Temple, and two maps, of the Eastern Mediterranean and of Palestine. The author, Etienne de Courcelles (in Latin Stephanus Curcellaeus; 1586-1659) was a Greek scholar and translator (and personal friend of Descartes) who first published this Greek New Testament in 1658.
