Abber de Fourt de Pradt was initially Napolean's secretary and later in 1812 was French Ambassador to Warsaw. He notably sided with Napolean in his dealings with the Pope, but fell from favour when partly blamed for the disaster of the Russian Campaign. He later came back into favour with the restoration. Important and attractive account of the Congress of Vienna, which took place between November 1814 and June 1815, with the aim of establishing a new peace after the Napoleonic wars.
