A Second Primer of Classical Ballet (Cecchetti Method) For Children
Author(s): Cyril W. Beaumont
Part one of this work is intended to provide a second year's course in classical ballet for a child of average ability taking the customary one class lesson a week. Part two provides a succeeding six months' training under the same conditions. Part one and part two are also planned to cover respectively all the theoretical knowledge and practical requirements of the Grade II and Grade II syllabi of the Classical Ballet Examinations held by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. The counts allotted to certain movements are not so much intended as a substitute for music rhythms, as to afford the young student a more definite idea of the desired quality of the particular movement described.
